Clayton is a trained mediator and skilled group facilitator. He has provided motivational key note speeches, educational workshops, and skill building seminars to a variety of organizations including health care, technology, governmental agencies, law enforcement, services industries, and charitable and religious not-for-profits.
As a consultant, Clayton works directly with management, leadership, and human resources to assess and evaluate operations, develop effective systems, and implement comprehensive interventions. On two separate occasions, he has assumed the corporate duties of Training Coordinator and COO for startups in transition.
Clayton received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Oregon; he then graduated from the Law School where he was a Semi-Finalist in the Wayne Morse Competition, a member of the Moot Court Board, and a successful competitor on the National Mock Trial Team and the International Law Moot Court Team.
Clayton began his career as a prosecutor in Eugene, Oregon. He later left for private practice where he provided trial and litigation services to persons and organizations. In the course of his career, he represented high profile criminal defendants and appeared on national and local television and radio, including Good Morning America, Larry King Live, and CNN Live.
He obtained his Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst College. He completed his practicum at Kaiser Permanente. He has also taught courses at Oregon Community Colleges including ‘Introduction to Law”, “Administrative Law:, “Introduction to Business and Contracts.”
Clayton continues to write and speak on a wide variety of business issues. He has written multiple “quick read” articles to provide maximum impact for the keen business person. In approximately the fall of 2008, he will publish the first three books in his series entitled “DNA of Business Gold”.
